Initially I was not proud to be a citizen of Indonesia, as reported in so many medias, all I know about this country was only about natural disasters, corruptions, polutions, terrorism, and more of negative things. Who doesn’t know about suicide bomb was in Bali on 12 October 2002? Or in JW. Marriot and Ritz Carlton on 17 July 2009? Who doesn’t know about tsunami was in Aceh on 26 December 2004? And who doesn’t know about our hurrible traffic jam in our capital country, Jakarta. And so much more negative things. Believe me, I was really don’t care about my country, all I know was just, get rich and move to European countries – lol, what a stupid idea i’ve ever had. Yes, I was blind, and many of Indonenians are blind like I was. But I ain’t blame them, they just need some kind of enlightenment, that would come in many different ways to make them aware and concerned that there are still many good things from our country that we are obliged to broadcast throughout the world - we have been through these difficult times anyways ;)

So, I’ve got my first enlightenment when I met so many peoples around the world from the internet. We had a chat n talk about everything. And as I told you before, that I was really interest with Europe, most of my chatting friends are Europeans. They always said that they interest with Asia – I was thinking, why don’t we swap places? I live there in Europe and they live here in Indonesia lol. How ironic. But almost of them only now about Bali, and some of them didn’t know much about Indonesia, so sad. Thailand was more familiar – I don’t know why, maybe because of their “chicks” or what. Ah yeah, Thailand is popular with their “phuket”, an island off the south-west coast of Thailand. I was thinking at that time, it’s impossible we only has Bali as tourism island. So I started googling about another beautiful islands in Indonesia. And there it is, we have so many beautiful islands, such as Karimunjawa Island, Sempu Island, Lombok Island, Derawan Island, etc. And as an archipelago country, Indonesia has more than 17,000 islands! Can you believe that? Indonesia is the world's largest archipelagic country.

Indonesia almost has all the kind of natural resources. We has more than a hundred beautiful mountains (such as Bromo, Rinjani, Galunggung, and so much more), lakes (such as Toba in North Sumatera and Kelimutu in Flores island which is known as the “three colors lake”), forests, waterfalls, animals and more. And also we has so many cultures, around 300 ethnic groups, traditional arts and more than 700 local languages that still excist until today! What an amazing country, isn’t it? So, yes, Indonesia is a big country. Big because we has so many things inside, and big because we still called us as an Indonesian evethough we are different in so many ways. We can handle that all difference, because we still hold on our national motto “Bhineka Tunggal Ika” which mean is “different but still one nevertheless”.

I get more curious and curious with this country. So i keep googling and reading, and found so many things that I never knew before. Not only natural resourches, we also has so many pre-historic relics. For examples, in Central Java we has Borobudur – the greatest Buddhist monument in the world, and Prambanan temple – the most beautiful Hindu temple in the world. And there still are a few of temples, such as Kalasan temple, Sewu temple, Mendut temple and more, were all located in Central Java and still well preserved to the present.

So, that’s all Indonesia at a glance. See, how unique Indonesia is. I feel so lucky was born as an Indonesian. I was born in one of the most beautiful place in the world. I was born in paradise. So, here I am, through this blog, I just wanna share what I have here, to you, to the whole world. To make you see what I saw, to make you hear what I heard, and to make you feel what I felt. Indonesia is for you..
